Muaro Jambi Temple, located in Muarojambi Village, Jambi, is packed with visitors. This is because the Muaro Jambi Temple Festival is being held combined with the Vesak Celebration.
Since morning, they have gathered with their families, groups, friends and even their partners to enjoy the natural atmosphere of the enshrinement.
Jambi Governor Zumi Zola said that his party was very proud to be able to receive guests including monks, who were not only from Indonesia, but also came from abroad, such as from Thailand and Myanmar.
"At Muaro Jambi Temple, the Vesak celebration is the second biggest celebration after Borobudur Temple. "There were 150 monks present, both from Indonesia and abroad," said Zola.
In fact, he continued, visitors reached 6,000 people. "There are people from Palembang, Lampung, Jakarta. Not only that, I met tourists from Malaysia," he stressed.
"This event is good and I have also conveyed to the Central Government what agenda we are carrying out for the Vesak celebration here. "This is appreciated by the relevant ministries," continued Zola.
The Vesak celebration combined with the Muaro Jambi Temple Festival has high cultural value. Traditional values are very strong and can be a source of pride for the people of Jambi Province, as well as the people of Indonesia.
"In the future, we will schedule it every year. This event is not only a national event but will attract international tourists," he hoped.
